District License Forms and Requirements
General information on licensing can be found here on the Nazarene.org website.
We will be accepting district license applications with all accompanying signed paperwork through January 12th, 2024.
Detailed information with dates and forms will be sent out in the FALL 2023.
Required Documentation due by January 12th, 2024:

You may call the district and schedule your interview appointment.
** Please do not attempt to schedule an interview appointment until we have received ALL required documents.
District License Interviews will be held on the following day:

Both the Pastor & Board recommendation should be sent directly to the District Office by your Senior Pastor. Please check with your Pastor to be sure they have sent in their recommendations, prior to scheduling your interview.
Tips: Have your Notebook with your transcripts, graded work, and anything else you think should be included. Please also be prepared to explain the Articles of Faith, how to explain to someone how to be saved & how to explain to someone how to be sanctified.
First/New District License Candidate:
» Verification of Credential History form sent to the District by your Senior Pastor (pdf FORM)
» Must have held a Local License for a minimum of 1 full year
» Complete a background check by your local church or through the District
» Have completed a minimum of 6 classes in the course of study
» Complete & sign your District License application
» Complete & sign your Candidate checklist
» Articles of Faith study guide (use this as a guide to prepare for your interview)
» Have your Pastor submit a Pastor Recommendation & Board recommendation to the District for you
Renewing District License Candidate:
» Have completed a minimum of 2 classes in the course of study
» Have completed the Holiness Workshop with Rollie Miller
» Complete & sign your District License application
» Complete & sign your Candidate checklist
» Articles of Faith study guide (use this as a guide to prepare for your interview)
» Have your Pastor submit a Pastor Recommendation & Board recommendation to the District for you.
» Have completed the (MCW) Ministerial Candidate Workshop at PLNU

Lead pastors MUST fill out ALL of the following forms
**PAC's do not fill any forms below, with the exception of the Church Directory Form, and only the Church and Pastor information.

You may log-in to your Church portal and fill out your forms HERE, if desired.

MANUAL 529.6 "Once a minister has fulfilled the requirements...for ministry, he or she will continue a pattern of lifelong learning to enhance the ministry to which God has called him or her. A minimum expectation is 20 hours of lifelong learning each year... All assigned and unassigned licensed and ordained ministers shall report on their progress in a program of lifelong learning as part of their report to the district assembly."
